Yossef Gutfreund wanted to become a vet and attended medical school but he soon realized his talent in wrestling and gave that dream up. He soon became a referee and attended 2 Olympics as a referee before Munich. He woke up in the middle of the night hearing the door opening. When he realized it was terrorists he threw himself at the door to try to stop them. This heroic act saved his room mate but unfortunately lost his own life.
